Accessibility Statement

Last updated: August 2026

We want every candidate and client to be able to use this site, including with assistive technology.

Conformance target

This website is built to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. That standard defines how to make web content more accessible to people with visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive and neurological disabilities.

What we have done

  • Semantic HTML with a single h1 per page and a logical heading order, so screen readers can navigate by structure.
  • A “skip to main content” link as the first focusable element on every page.
  • Every interactive control reachable and operable by keyboard alone, with a visible focus ring that meets contrast requirements.
  • Text and interface colours verified against the 4.5:1 contrast minimum in both the light and dark themes.
  • Form fields with persistent visible labels, required fields marked in text as well as colour, and errors announced through a live region rather than by colour alone.
  • Full support for the operating system’s reduced-motion preference: scroll animations, the page transition and the decorative background motion all switch off automatically.
  • Layouts that reflow without horizontal scrolling down to 320px, and that tolerate text zoomed to 200%.
  • Decorative graphics hidden from assistive technology; meaningful images carry text alternatives.
  • A theme that follows your operating system by default, with a manual override that persists.

Known limitations

  • Embedded third-party content, such as the map on the contact page, is outside our control and may not fully conform.
  • Documents supplied by clients, such as job specifications in PDF form, may not be tagged for accessibility. Ask us and we will provide the content in another format.
